Terms of Service

What Unclip is

  • Software that converts bank statements (PDF) and accounting files (CSV, QBO, OFX, QIF, IIF) into other formats and checks each transaction against the balances printed on the statement.
  • It is a bookkeeping tool. It is not a bank, an accountant, or financial advice.

Your files

  • The browser converters process files on your device; nothing is uploaded.
  • PDF statements you upload for conversion are stored encrypted on our servers only as long as needed to convert them, and are deleted within 60 minutes. We never sell or share them. See the Privacy page.

Accuracy

  • We check every row we can against the printed balances and tell you when something doesn't add up.
  • We do not guarantee that any output is error-free. You are responsible for reviewing files before using them for accounting, tax or legal purposes.

Acceptable use

  • You may only convert statements you are entitled to use.
  • Editing a result is for correcting misreads. Producing altered statements to mislead a lender, employer, authority or anyone else is forbidden and ends your access.

Plans and payment

  • Free: one statement a day. Paid plans and passes are billed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, in USD at the prices shown on the Pricing page. Lemon Squeezy issues the invoice and collects any applicable tax.
  • Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled from your account page. Cancelled plans stay usable until the end of the paid period.
  • Statements we cannot read, or that do not reconcile, are not counted against your allowance.

Refunds

  • If a paid conversion failed and your allowance was not restored automatically, or you were charged in error, write to us within 14 days and we refund it.

Availability and changes

  • We may change features, prices or these terms. Prices never change mid-period for an existing subscription. Material changes are announced on the site 14 days ahead.

Liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, including decisions made on converted data.
