Some rows don't add up to the printed balance
The flagged rows are highlighted below. This usually means a page is missing from the PDF, the bank printed a fee or interest line in an unusual place, or a figure was misread. Compare those rows with your PDF. If our reading is wrong, send us the statement. We'll fix it, and it won't count against your allowance.

Why convert to CSV
CSV is the most portable format: almost every accounting tool, database and script can read it. It's the right choice for Xero and Wave imports, Google Sheets, or feeding transactions into your own tools.
Date,Description,Amount,Debit,Credit,Balance,Verified
2026-01-02,PAYROLL ACME CORP,3120.00,,3120.00,5570.75,yes
2026-01-03,AMAZON MKTP US,-45.20,45.20,,5525.55,yes
2026-01-05,SHELL OIL 5741,-61.34,61.34,,5464.21,yesImporting the CSV
- Dates are written 2026-01-31 (ISO format), so every tool reads them the same way whatever your regional settings.
- Amount is signed: money out is negative and money in is positive. Debit and Credit columns are also included for tools that want them separately.
- In Xero, choose the account, then Import a statement, and map Date, Amount and Description when asked.
- The file is UTF-8 with commas as separators, so accents and currency symbols come through intact.
How to import a bank statement into Xero

Questions
Which columns does the CSV have?
Date, Description, Amount, Debit, Credit, Balance and Verified. Verified is "yes" when the row matched the printed running balance.
Can I get semicolons instead of commas?
Not yet. If your Excel expects semicolons, download the Excel (.xlsx) file instead. It opens correctly with any regional settings.
Does the CSV work with Google Sheets?
Yes. In Google Sheets choose File, then Import, then Upload, and select the file.
